Contact Lens Exam

Contact Lens Exam

Your doctor will first determine your overall eye health and vision through the Comprehensive Eye Exam. A few more tests are done to ensure it’s safe and beneficial for you to wear contacts. You’ll consult with your doctor to find the most suitable type of contacts for your lifestyle. A series of measurements will be taken so that your doctor can find the best possible match for you.

If it’s your first time wearing contacts, our opticians will train you on the insertion and removal of the contacts as well as good hygiene.* If you’ve worn contacts before, your doctor will have you insert a pair of trial lenses, then proceed with examining the lenses on your eyes to ensure they sit properly and that you are able to see clearly.

You will be provided with a few days' worth of contacts to test run so you can ensure they are both comfortable and clear throughout the day. If they aren’t working as well as they were in the exam room, save a pair for a short follow-up visit with your doctor.
